I've been married for about 1 1/2 years. In the first six months of marriage, I happened across a detail cell phone bill when we were attempting to consolidate our cell phone services.
It was a horrible mess as was I. After all the promises and BS, etc. We stayed together. Several things and situations prompted me a year later to check it again. Guess what I found? Same thing, same woman.
I'm waiting for this months bill to download so I can take them home for a lengthy discussion...possibly leading to divorce. I'm so nervous and suspicious that my face is breaking out and I have a fever blister.
What should I do?

At the very least, confront him again and make sure he knows you're not going to tolerate this crap. Cell phones, like the Internet, can be the devil. It makes it too easy to get away with the secrecy of an affair. It may not have happened yet, but if he's still calling this number, there's a chance it will. Take it from me, as my husband started out just "talking" to his mistress on his cell phone. _________________ |

Whose name is the cell phone account in? I caught mine talking to voice personals on the cell phone -- we did not have detailed billing but he was in such a hurry to pay April's $185 bill (on mycredit card) that I got suspicious and called Sprint for a detailed bill -- meanwhile in the next 3 months he ran it up to $2,000 -- yeah TWO THOUSAND!!! And the account is in MY name so it's MY credit that will be screwed!!!Because I was nice enough to let him keep it so he could contact family -- what a ditz I am! If the phones are in your name, make sure you dee about splitting them up again or keep both of them before he leaves you (with the bill) _________________ |

This is somewhat irrelevant, but I'm posting this warning anyway. I don't know what the phone companies are like in Tennessee, but beware of the phone bill situation. I had a roommate who ran up a $1,000 + bill in my name, and I could NEVER get the phone company to compromise charges, let alone drop all those calls that weren't mine. (I feel terrible for you as a victim of $2,000 charges!!!)It can kill your credit, too, particularly if you try to avoid them. Also, if you have any television service that you can order movies off of through your phone line, beware of that, too. He may run that up, you never can tell. I eventually dropped all long distance service (you can always buy phone cards), put a block on outside billers (so there wouldn't be surprise bills), and resorted to a prepaid cell phone (which I limit my use). It's sad that it has to come to that, but at least a person knows what's going on under their name...though it's still impossible to be 100% sure!!!
Best of luck to you. _________________ |
